This project explores innovative design responses to the evolving concept of shared living within the historical context of the Borgo di Castellazzo at Villa Arconati near Milan. Rooted in the dialogue between memory and modernity, the design interventions investigate the reuse of both indoor and outdoor spaces, integrating interior and product design disciplines.
Our team developed space and furniture solutions tailored to the Borgo’s unique architectural character, alongside proposals for stand-alone objects suitable for broader production. The work reflects a vision of future living—creative, sustainable, and deeply connected to place—through adaptive reuse and collaborative spatial narratives.
CHALLENGE:
How can cellulose-based waste be transformed into sustainable, sound-absorbing materials that support circular design?
